konq-pdf (various PDF service menus for KDE)
Description
Here are various KDE service menus for PDF documents
- Join selected PDF (alphabetic order)
- Add another pdf to selected file
- Extract pages
- Extraxt all even pages
- Extract all odd pages
- Burst PDF pages
- Repair
- Watermark pages of a PDF file
- Lock (give master password, give user password, select permissions)
- Unlock (with master password)
- Attach arbitrary file (not PDF only, but documents audio image movie too)
(For now, you can view attached files with Acrobat Reader only)
- Extract all attached files (one or more)
(Acrobat Reader not required for this)
(These are only useful when you want to edit PDF code in a text editor like vim or emacs)
- Uncompress PDF files (Remove PDF page stream compression)
- Compress PDF files (Restore page stream compression)
- Document information
- About
Depend only on pdftk (http://www.accesspdf.com/pdftk) and kde.
2) pdfjam service menu (pdf90, pdfnup, pdfjoin):
- Rotate -90 degrees pdf files
- Join selected documents
- Add another pdf to selected file
- 2 pages per sheet
- 4 pages per sheet
- 6 pages per sheet
- 8 pages per sheet
- Custom pages per sheet
(It’s possible to choose if you want framed or no-framed)
- About
Depend only on pdfjam (http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/statistics/staff/academic/firth/software/pdfjam/) and kde.
3) poppler-utils service menu (pdfimages, pdftohtml,pdftoppm, pdftotext): NEW!!
- Convert an PDF document to HTML page
converto all pages or selected range only
exchange .pdf links with .html
ignore images
generate no frames
force hidden text extraction
do not merge paragraphs
override document DRM settings
- Convert an PDF document to one or more images
- Extract images from PDF documents
- Convert PDF document to text
Depend only on poppler-utils.
Installation
Home installation: place the desktop files to
~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/
System-wide installation (for kubuntu): place the desktop files to
/usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/

konq-pdf 0.1 (Debian, Kubuntu package)

è un service menu per konqueror, non devi lanciare niente.
basta che, una volta installato il pacchetto, clicchi col pulsante destro su un qualsiasi documento PDF e vai sul sottomenù “azioni”, a questo punto avrai a disposizione “magicamente” molte funzioni per modificare i PDF.

l’ho provato sul mio e su altri computer.
Potresti essere piu’ preciso?
non compaiono i sottomenù? clicchi su una funzione ma non hai nessun risultato? scatta il salvavita? che vuoi dire?
E’ strano perche’ su kde-look.org nessuno mi ha segnalato un problema. Forse hai trovato un bug. Sii più specifico e vediamo se riesco a risolvere i problema entro dopodomani. poichè poi vado in vacanza e non toccherò un computer per almeno tre settimane

apro un file pdf e cliccando col tasto dx non mi compare alcun sotto menu. Non vedo scritto “azioni”.

Guarda che e’ per konqueror (kde), non per nautilus (gnome).
Ecco perchè non vedi e non vedrai nessun menù azioni.
Non devi aprire un file PDF, devi solo cliccarci su conl pulsante destro, direttamente da konqueror.
C’è scritto che è per kubuntu (o per qualsiasi *buntu modificata installando kde)

Sono due i service menu per Konqueror che ritengo assolutamente indispensabili, perché rendono molte operazioni noiose e ripetitive velocissime, giusto il tempo di un clic.

Temo di non poterti aiutare, non mi occupo io della pacchettizzazione per slack. Per adesso uso kubuntu e debian quindi ho fatto il pacchetto per queste distribuzioni.
Cmq se prendi il tar.gz e lo scompatti, vedrai i .desktop che dovresti mettere nella sottocartella “servicemenus” di konqueror.
Naturalmente non dimenticarti di installare le dipendenze.

la versione 0.2 non mi funziona su dolphin
l’ho copiato in /usr/share/apps/dolphin/servicemenus
dove ho sbagliato ?

dolphin è la versione per kde4.
Per kde3.x dolphin è stato chiamato d3lphin, quindi prova a sostituire dolphin con d3lphin:
/usr/share/apps/d3lphin/servicemenus
~/.kde/share/apps/d3lphin/servicemenus

Thanks for a great servicemenu, I have used it a lot in kde3. Now I’m on Kde 4.1 and really want to use this servicemenu. I have tried http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/KDE4-servicemenus?content=80131 to import the servicemenu. But it does not work. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

there are many changes in kde4 and I must write this servicemenus from zero
I want make this, but I need more time for this because I now write the primary software and the servicesmenus. Two separated sources. I must change the architecture of this tools.
I thing make this in one or two months. I hope.

Your menu was a brilliant addition to kde-3. I too have moved to kde-4 and really miss it.

In this release there is only two languages but I hope in help from people.
